GAPASH developed the hydro-oceanographic pre-feasibility study for the Lomas Port Terminal project, with the objective of characterizing the physical conditions of the marine environment and generating the necessary technical information for the preliminary evaluation of design alternatives and location of the port infrastructure.

The project involved the execution of field campaigns aimed at measuring oceanographic, meteorological and hydrographic variables, including bathymetric surveys, monitoring of waves, currents, tides and winds, as well as the analysis of the geomorphological and operational conditions of the study area.

The information obtained made it possible to establish a technical baseline of the marine environment, identify the main environmental conditions that could influence the development of the port terminal, and provide engineering criteria for the subsequent design and feasibility stages of the project.

The results constituted a fundamental tool for the early planning of port infrastructure, contributing to the evaluation of its technical feasibility and to the development of engineering studies with reliable and representative information on local conditions.
